Theoretical training

Theoretical training comprises of general educational and technical subjects, which are taught in accordance to effective curriculums and teaching plans. Modified curriculums and teaching plans as well as efficient and active methods and forms of teaching prepare our graduates to comprehensively apply their knowledge in situations mainly on the shop floor of the ŠKODA AUTO company.

Students have lessons either in homerooms, which are equipped with modern furniture as well as audio-visual technology, or in specialised technical classrooms –ICT classroom (computer lab), classroom to train measurement skills, classroom with an interactive whiteboard, classroom for automotive technology and a laboratory for electrical engineering, electronics and automotive electronics. Of course we also have language classrooms, where English and German lessons take place, as well as a physics classroom. All technical classrooms can also be accessed by students outside their regular classes.
During lessons of technical subjects the students participate in technical trainings (hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics and drawing in AutoCAD) in certified courses in specialised technical classrooms. An inherent part of lessons is individual work and projects conducted in cooperation with company departments; furthermore students also go on thematic tours on the shop floor and the department for development.

The school also takes into account further needs of the students – during the school breaks they can follow video projections in the entrance hall, they have access to vending machines for food and drinks, the school canteen and lastly they have special premises for meeting up and relaxing.
